Our Sport Programme at St Peters Lutheran is an important part of our school culture. The skills the students are taught in our PE programme can be extended in our Out of School Hours Sport Programme and participation in SAPSASA events, where students can continue to develop and refine their sporting abilities in a competitive environment. The aim of our sporting programme is to achieve maximum participation, whilst developing the students social, physical and personal capacities, time with friends and enjoyment. All students are given equal opportunities to participate and to try all the positions in their chosen sport. In this positive environment the children flourish as they are introduced to competition and sport in general.
Out of School Hours Sport
We have a range of sports offered out of school hours including Basketball, Cricket, Football and Netball.
Kelly sports is available to our R-2 students in an after school capacity. They provide a range of fun and stimulating programmes that develop children’s fundamental sporting skills in an environment that encourages children to give sport a go.
St Peters Lutheran students have the opportunity to be involved with South Australian Primary Schools Amateur Sports Association (SAPSASA) carnivals and championships. Our students have a reputation for the fun loving way they approach games and the school is often complimented on our sportsmanship, fairness and respect for the opposing teams. We are very proud of our students and the way they conduct themselves and their achievements.
