Transition to Reception occurs through our Early Learning Centre and from local Kindergartens and Child Care centres. St Peters provides a nurturing and caring environment for the students during transition and as they progress through the school. All children are known and individual differences are catered for. Our Wellbeing programme is woven through all areas of the school and the staff at St Peters ensure that each child knows that they are unique and special.

Our Reception to Year 7 curriculum is the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) which is a curriculum framework designed for students aged 3 to 12. Informed by research into how students learn, how educators teach, and the principles and practice of effective assessment, the programme places a powerful emphasis on inquiry-based learning.

The PYP transdisciplinary framework focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both at school and beyond. The curriculum aims to be relevant, challenging, significant and engaging. The Primary Years Programme Exhibition completes the learning journey for our Seniors in a student-initiated display of learning bringing together all aspects of the programme from concepts to action.

With a wide range of Extra Curricular offerings, the students can either choose specialties based on their strengths, or try a new skill.  All students at our school are leaders and are given responsibilities that develop their leadership skills in an age appropriate capacity.
