St Peters Lutheran Church was transformed into Pantoland last term as students from St Peters Lutheran School presented their whole-school musical ‘Happily Never After’.
Fairy Tales nearly always have happy endings, don’t they? In ‘Happily Never After’, a group of villains – The Evil Queen, Jafar, Malificent, Cruella de Vil and King Rat decide that they have had enough of this tradition and decide to rewrite this very well known ending! Led by Cruella, they cast a spell which means that the people of Pantoland find that their lives and traditional stories take a strange turn for the worse!
The reviews from parents and friends were outstanding!
“Another great musical presentation from St Peters: a celebration of talent and fun. A very professional performance!”
“Sharing classic fairy tales in a way that people of all ages can relate to is a wonderful thing. Fantastic songs and dancing too. So great that the whole school can be involved, ” said another audience member.
Played to packed houses at four performances over two days, Happily Never After left audiences with a renewed appreciation and a different perspective on the classic fairy tales we have all grown up with.
