During the year
classes enjoy various excursions from day long field trips
to overnight camps. These are used to support what the
students learn at school.

Maths Competition
We are very proud to announce that
St Peters Lutheran School Blackwood was a winner in the state
wide Primary Mathematics Association competition in 2008.
We entered the Year 7 class group, with the great work the
class did on place value and base 10, which culminated in
the production of a play entitled Sale of the Number System.

The team successfully
completed all 3 events in 2009.
The 2009 program
consisted of:
Race 1 - 6hrs at
Victoria Park on Sunday 17th May.
Race 2 - 9hrs at
Victoria Park on Sunday 26th July.
Race 3 - 24hrs at
Murray Bridge on Sat/Sun 19th/20th September.

Student Leadership
St Peters was the only independent
school who made a successful application for a Civics and
Citizenship grant in 2009. Our project centred on further
development of our Student Leadership programme.

"Are
We There Yet?'
Once
again our students and their teachers did an amazing job of
planning, practising, preparing and then presenting a polished
musical production for the school community. Again this
year our production, Are We There Yet?
which is the story of Moses and the Exodus, included every
student in our school.
We
had very positive feedback from the members of the audience,
at both performances. Some thought it was our best ever,
and others went out of their way to tell us that every year
we just get better and better.
