St Peters Lutheran School Blackwood

When you look through the classroom windows at St Peters Lutheran you will see our Early Learning Centre to Year 7 students:

  • working collaboratively
  • taking responsibility for their own learning, sharing, setting goals, reflecting, analysing and evaluating
  • helping each other in the classroom, in the resource centre and in the playground
  • making decisions about their classroom and about the school
  • excited and highly motivated about what they are learning

St Peters is part of the Australia wide Lutheran School system which includes preschool centres, primary schools, secondary schools and R-12 schools, educating well over 20 000 students.

Come and view the facilities and see the students and our dedicated staff team in action. Contact us to arrange a tour.

Camps & Field Trips

During the year classes enjoy various excursions from day long field trips to overnight camps.  These are used to support what the students learn at school.

Go to the News and Events page, or click on the Camp & Field Trips link above, to read about some of the interesting activities our students have experienced.

Maths Competition

We are very proud to announce that St Peters Lutheran School Blackwood was a winner in the state wide Primary Mathematics Association competition in 2008.  We entered the Year 7 class group, with the great work the class did on place value and base 10, which culminated in the production of a play entitled Sale of the Number System.

International Pedal Prix

The St Peters team successfully completed all three events in 2011.

With the Pedal Prix year ending in a 24 hour event at Murray Bridge on 17th/18th September.

What an exciting time was had by all involved with this extra-curricula activity – with their efforts
culminating in the 24-hour race held at Murray Bridge. On behalf of the school community,
we congratulate our riders and their fabulous support team for their amazing commitment to this sport.

Student Leadership

St Peters was the only independent school who made a successful application for a Civics and Citizenship grant in 2009.  Our project centred on further development of our Student Leadership programme.
